The inception of the Green Technology Community (CGT) within the Engineering Association for Development and Environment (EADE) stems from our fundamental goals, as outlined in our bylaws. Among these objectives is a strong commitment to fostering the development of scientific research and providing Iraqi scientists and researchers with opportunities to enhance their expertise and academic advancements within Iraqi universities and research institutions.
Our vision for realizing these goals revolves around a two-fold approach. Firstly, we emphasize the importance of research and studies in fields such as construction, development, environmental protection, and pollution reduction. Secondly, we actively engage in the organization of scientific and research-based events. These include conferences, seminars, workshops, and scientific courses, both within Iraq and on an international scale. Our aim is to facilitate the growth of scientific knowledge and the professional development of Iraqi scientists and educators. This collaborative effort extends to partnerships with Iraqi universities, research institutions, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, as well as universities and international organizations beyond Iraq’s borders.
Through these initiatives, CGT strives to create a dynamic platform for scientific growth and cooperation, ultimately contributing to the advancement of green technology and environmental sustainability in Iraq and worldwide.
In alignment with our commitment to supporting activities that promote clean energy, reduce emissions, and advance sustainable objectives, we have launched the Green Technology Community for Training, Sustainability, and Innovations (CGT) in Mosul, Nineveh Governorate.
This initiative, conceived by EADE, aims to contribute significantly to mitigating the impact of climate change, desertification, and emissions. CGT is dedicated to fostering scientific research and innovative solutions, organizing awareness campaigns, and providing technical training courses to empower the youth across diverse sustainability domains. We also offer support in local and global project promotion, fostering the development of professional competencies through practical, scientifically-grounded programs led by EADE’s experts.
We believe in the power of collaboration, and thus, we partner with academic specialists and experts, both within and outside Iraq, who specialize in climate change and sustainability. Our approach encompasses a range of training programs and supplementary initiatives, tailored to the center’s policy and guided by EADE’s financial capacity, as well as grants obtained from international organizations and funding bodies dedicated to sustainability and climate change activities.”
