AOYE اقيمت مساء اليوم جلسة حوارية نظمها المكتب العربي للشباب و البيئة
RAED و الشبكة العربية للبيئة و التنمية
في الجناح المصري في المنطقة الزرقاء لتسليط الضوء على دور منظمات المجتمع المدني العربية للحفاظ على هدف 1.5 درجة مئوية وعرض المشاركة الهادفة لمنظمات المجتمع المدني بين أصحاب المصلحة الآخرين في المنطقةالعربية و الدعوة إلى المزيد من الاستراتيجيات الوطنية المتعلقة بتغير المناخ في الدول العربية والتي تظهر التزاما جديا للحفاظ على الأمل في حلم قابل للتحقيق
و كان المتحدث الثاني في الجلسة المهندسة مريم الفخري و هي ممثلة الجمعية الهندسية للتطوير و البيئة و احد اعضاء وفد المنظمة المدعو للمشاركة في المؤتمر حيث اجابت عن الاسئلة المطروحة حول ستراتيجية العراق في الالتزام بميثاق باريس و تحقيق الوصول الى تخفيض معدلات درجة حرارة المناخ 1,5 درجة مؤية و الحد من الانبعثات و المساهمات الوطنية في هذا المجال
كما اوضحت الفخري دور المنظمات غير الحكومية في العراق على المستوى المحلي و دور الجمعية الهندسية للتطوير و البيئة في تطبيق توجيهات الحكومة في تنفيذ مشاريع الاستدامة و العمل المناخي و تعزيز دور الوزارات في تنفيذ ما تم اقراره في وثيقة المساهمات الوطنية العراقية اضافة الى تنفيذ توجيهات دائرة المنظمات غير الحكومية للتوجه للعمل المناخي و تضمين الاستدامة في كافة الانشطة التي يتم تنفيذها
Among the activities of the Engineering Association for Development and Environment-EADE at the Climate Conference (COP28),
A dialogue session was held this evening, organized by the Arab Office for Youth and Environment (AOYE) and the Arab Network for Environment and Development (RAED) in the Egyptian pavilion in the Blue Zone to highlight the role of Arab civil society organizations to keep the target of 1.5 C and to present the meaningful engagement of CSOs among other stakeholders in the region and to advocate for more national climate change strategies in Arab countries that shows serious commitment to keep the hope for an achievable dream.
The second speaker in the session was engineer Maryam Al-Fakhry, the representative of the Engineering Association for Development and Environment-EADE and one of the members of the EADE’s delegation invited to participate in the conference, where she answered the questions raised about Iraq’s strategy for adhering to the Paris Agreement and achieving a reduction in climate temperature rates of 1.5-degree, reduction of emissions, and national contributions in this field.
Al-Fakhri also explained the role of non-governmental organizations in Iraq at the local level and the role of the Engineering Association for Development and Environment-EADE in implementing government directives in achieving sustainability and climate action projects and enhancing the role of Iraqi ministries in implementing what was approved in the Iraqi NDC, in addition to implementing the directives of the Directorate of NGOs to move toward climate action and include sustainability in all activities that are implemented.
