و قام دولة رئيس الوزراء برعاية و افتتاح المؤتمر بحضور ممثلة بعثة الامم المتحدة و ممثلة الاتحاد الاوربي و سفراء العديد من الدول ثم تلى ذلك عدة جلسات ناقشت مواضيع التغيرات المناخية و البيئة و المياه و تم التأكيد على وضع موضوع التغيرات المناخية و البيئة من ضمن أولويات الموازنة للعام ٢٠٢٣ و تخصيص المبالغ اللازمة لتنفيذ المشاريع في مجالات الزراعة و الري و البيئة اضافة الى دعم المجتمع الدولي ممثلا بالامم المتحدة و البنك الدولي و المنظماتةالدولية

Upon an official invitation from the Office of the Prime Minister, the director of the Engineering Association for Development and Environment-EADE attended the Iraq Climate Conference, which is being held in Basra for the period from 12 to 13 March 2023.

The Prime Minister sponsored and opened the conference in the presence of the representative of the United Nations mission, the representative of the European Union, and ambassadors of many countries.

Several sessions then had been presented on the issues of climate change, the environment and water. Emphasis was placed on placing the issue of climate change and the environment among the priorities of the budget for the year 2023 and allocating the necessary funds to implement projects in the fields of agriculture, irrigation and the environment, in addition to the support of the international community represented by the United Nations. And the World Bank and international organizations.
